Abstract : Inequality is not exactly organized where it originated. If one imagines what was inequality and what was to be measured on the egalitarian scale, the history of this country is a history that has so far covered the horrendous truth of the pill and the glory of this country’s culture, but the arrival of Basavanna is a way of exit of inequality. Which cannot be wrong. On the one hand the class that embraces inequality, from race to policy, is the class that accepts and adores it. Born Brahmin, Basavanna’s heart was the heart that only lives for the afflicted. Basavanna was the founder of equality as the leader of exploited communities, mirror for the blind and blind for the unseen. From the legacy to the goddess traditions alive, Basavanna, a social equality Pioneer who bravely fought the army and surrendered the place before the royal monarchy, though he was stagnant and revolted on welfare.
Keywords: Inequality, Casteism, Equality, Work is Worship.
Caste as a species: The only caste system on the planet where humans are not touched by humans is the first manifestation of such an inequality in the ground, the rational consciousness that defies such a man’s culture of discrimination. We can also see the adversarial propaganda found in the primitive Pumpa’s “The human family itself is a colony” is not to be forgotten. The system is the most dangerous atomic bomb on Earth, and is loved by nurturing terrorists. If the nucleus enclosed the area around which it fell, the nucleus of the species will fall in Kashmir and will spread to the Kanyakumari region destroying the entire system within a short time. Such a minimalist culture has shattered the inequality of Baptized class by digging up the needle, such as Dohara Kakkayya, Madara Chennayya, Ambigara Chaudayya, Hadapada Appanna, Sunkada Bankanna, Nuliya Chennayya, Amuge Rayamma, Aydakki Lakkamma, Remmavve Goggavve, Hadapada Ningamma, one or other, should have strong army of the same base and fight against powerful system. He declared that all human beings are one and the same. Basavanna had a mother’s love for the society, and in every respect the people who lived for the good society, the downtrodden and the dalits, had great concern and compassion for the untouchables.
Don’t make (me) think, whose is this man? Whose is this man? Whose is this man?
Make (me) think, “ This is our man, This is our man. This is our man.”
Oh the Deity of kudala sangama make (me) think that “Iam a son of your house”.
This popular Vachana by Basavanna represents core of principles living that Basavanna and his contemporary Sharanas preached and practiced. We find that Kanakadasa continued to speak of Basavanna who spoke of equality has been dispelled by the question of,
They (people) talk about caste, community, tribe.
To which community do the people belong, who experience the true happiness.
Tell me the caste of the soul, The vital breath, The truth, The senses. To which community do they belong.?
Philosophers have also raised the issue of Basavanna’s social equality, we see that in the womb of the mother, the birth of the dead from the womb of the mother about the social inequality, is again expressed in the principle of above question,
“All are born one place, all die, all come from one place, where it came downstairs all within one”.
Religious Equality: Even though Basavanna was born a Brahmin and renounced Vedic religion. According to him what religion is,
How can there be a religion that does not advocate compassion (kindness, non-violence)?
Compassion should be bestowed on all living beings!
Compassion is verily the basis of all genuine religions!
Without compassion to all, one cannot win your heart,
Oh! Lord, Kudala Sangama!
Basavanna who has given living claim to the life of millions of people. Then, Constitution Sculpture Dr. Baba Saheb declared the religious right as a constitutional right. Kuvempu is also a universal human message, “equal to all, equal to all”, and the wish of his inquity is also the world human message.
Importance of Kayaka : The “Anubhava Mantapa” established by Basavanna in 12th century laid the foundation of social democracy. He preached that everyone should continue in his professional work while leading a virtuous and spiritual life. He believed in the principle, “Kayakave Kailasa” (Work is Worship). His concept of Kayaka cuts at the root of traditional varna or caste order of society and varnashrama i.e Brahmana, kshatriya, Vysya and shudra.Kayaka is a spiritual view of Labor. Sharanas says “ Kayakave Kailasa”. In Sharanas view which work is not inferior or which work is not superior. Saying that the Work is Worship, they gave a career to the culture instead of the ritual culture. Hadapada Appanna, Molige Marayya, Jedara Dasimayya, Ambigara Chaudayya, Sunkada Bankanna, Aydakki Lakkamma and may other gave importance to Kayaka. Basavanna was the one who proclaimed equality of life from Brahmin to the the last man. We are live in 21st century, whether all live in Equality and wish for Basavanna.
