Samareth woke up to an ordinary day thinking on her pointless existence. Her mind was meandering far away into the future which seemed to her getting bleak day-by-day. This dismal future with even more dismal present haunted every minute of her pointless existence. Evenings were no different for her. Monotony lying heavy on the heart, weariness forming part of life and frustration giving way to the failed soul, with no hope in sight formed the essence of life. She quickly diverted her mind to focus on the few precious things that she cherished. She held on to them with sheer love. But even that did little to lessen the gloomy feeling. She made up her mind to take herself away from this mental and emotional drudgery. She rose from the bed, tidied the room and headed for her shower. She kept on thinking how to escape this part of the earth and explore the unknown. A baffled soul was awaiting a solution to this daily drudgery. Her soul staying close to the heavenly Shepherd looked upon Him.
Gradually, she was awakened to the fact that she was destined to be a wanderer, to set foot on unknown soil and feast on the vastness and richness of this planet. Her mind and soul in unison kept reverberating with the thought of exploring new places. As this thought was gaining strength in her heart, her whole being was flooded with calmness. Finally, after the day’s long, miserable and agonizing wait, the serene air of dusk breathed life into the inanimate soul where it met with cheerful acceptance. Since then it had been floating around blithely. The thought left an indelible imprint in the mind and found its way to the heart. The arduous journey through the darkest plains, encountering blind curves slowly winding through a clutch of dangerous narrow lanes, found the hope of its vision turning into a reality.
She made up her mind to indulge in travelling.
She decided to venture into Nature’s cocoon – in the lap of Mother Earth. She decided to set out to her destined path and found her mind travelling to in the midst of nature’s treasure. She imagined herself among tall green trees on the mountains which afforded the glimpse of chains of mountains. She envisaged the cold water flowing from one end to the other with tranquillity all around. She imagined herself to be near the blue ocean gazing at the ripples created by the waves. The mental picture of the whole surrounding had a soothing effect on her senses. It resembled some scene from an English novel penned by some great writer. She marvelled at the majestic thought. She wanted to be far away from the madding crowd. She realized that it is amidst nature that one can escape the cacophony of an urban life. It is in the arms of nature that one can find one’s soul, spirit and self.
With this thought she came out of her Reverie and decided to head towards the Natural World which is still free from pollution, contamination, discrimination and is sheer bliss to the mind body and soul.
She realized there was a World beyond our World.

A nice stream of consciousness article on the bleak present and future and finally the hope that nature still holds.
Thanks dear
What a soothing description of nature! Specially appealing in this lockdown period. If we all like nature so much, why dont we try to have shantiniketan type of setting for our work? Just a thought!! :))))))))))))
Right, ultimately we need to connect with our roots , with the nature
Isn’t this the healing property of nature written by Wordsworth, the great poet? For me, I would think nature is also participating in my sadness if I am sad, like Coleridge perhaps!!! Different reactions!
Absolutely, As Wordsworth’s poem says The World is too much with us. It’s time now we need to take recourse in nature which the best healer
So deep
YES Govind, nature has the real meaningful depth as opposed to the superficial and shallow things of our Materialistic World
